Sara Brown Vernon has a diverse work experience in government relations and political affairs. Sara currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of State Government Relations at McGuireWoods Consulting. Prior to this, they worked at the SOUTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS as the Director of Political Affairs. Sara also has experience in political fundraising, having worked at Fund Events LLC. In addition, Sara has worked in various roles within the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, including as a scheduler/executive assistant and an intern. Sara began their career in the South Carolina House of Representatives, where they served as an assistant to the Sergeant at Arms, providing administrative support and messenger duties for house members.
Sara Brown Vernon completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of South Carolina from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from the same university, attending from 2008 to 2012. During their undergraduate studies, they participated in a Study Abroad Program at Florence University of the Arts in Florence, Italy, in the year 2011.
