Kevin Craver

Kevin Craver serves as a Communications Specialist for McHenry County, focusing on internal and external communications, including social media and video production, since August 2017. As an author, Craver published two post-apocalyptic novels, "BIG SKY FALLEN" and "CASCADIA RISING," starting in July 2023. Prior to these roles, Craver had a distinguished 20-year career at Shaw Media, culminating in the position of Senior Reporter at the Northwest Herald, where more than 70 state and national journalism awards were earned across various categories. Craver's journalism experience also includes roles as County Reporter and Education Reporter, along with editorial duties and cartooning for Northern Star Media. Craver holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Northern Illinois University, completed in 1996.
