Edgar De La Mora currently serves as the English Learning Coordinator at McHenry School District 15 since July 2023. Previously, Edgar held the position of Assistant Principal at Barrington 220 School District from July 2020 to July 2023. Edgar's experience in education also includes roles as a Digital Technologist and Bilingual Special Education Teacher at McHenry School District 15 from July 2011 to June 2020, as well as a Special Education Teacher at The Menta Group from August 2010 to August 2011, and a One-on-One Classroom Aide at the same organization from August 2008 to May 2010. Edgar earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from American College of Education in 2018, a Bilingual Education Teaching Endorsement from National Louis University in 2011, an LBS1 Certificate in Special Education from Quincy University in 2011, a Master of Architecture from University of Illinois Chicago from 2006 to 2008, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla from 1995 to 2000.

McHenry Elementary School District 15 also honors diversity by our commitment to second language acquisition using a transitional bilingual program of instruction that includes native language instruction through a developmental model and ESL services. Through our rigorous curriculum, Response to Intervention (RTI) and Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies (PBIS) and a full continuum of special education services, we meet the needs of all students residing in our district.
