Jon Daugherity is a dedicated and experienced Landscape Architect currently employed at McKay Nursery Company since January 2022. With a strong background in project design, customer service, and cost estimating, Jon has demonstrated expertise in field project management and crew training. Previous roles include Landscape Manager at Avant Gardening & Landscaping and Project Manager at Glacier Landscape. Jon's experience also encompasses project management positions at WTS Paradigm and Ortelius Design, where responsibilities included overseeing project success and client relations. Additionally, Jon served as Operations Manager at Terra Carta for 18 years, nurturing key client relationships with notable organizations. Jon began a career in construction at Meredith Construction and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

As the largest and oldest nursery in Wisconsin it has been our mission to produce and care for our nursery stock in the most eco-friendly way. This is good for you in terms of the relative value we are able to provide. And it is good for the livelihood and job security of our 150+ employee owners. Since we're a 100% employee owned company we're team players who want the best for the company and the customer. Even though we're the largest nursery, you would never know by our attentive and knowledgeable staff. Our team is packed with horticulturists, landscape designers, gardeners, plant specialists, botanist, and everything between. We care about you and want to see you have a positive experience with our plants, it's that easy. Sustainability and earth-friendly practices are not new to us or a recent initiative. Since 1897, we have been caring stewards of our growing fields, which now number almost 2,000 acres, as well as good neighbors to the many family farms that make southern Wisconsin famous for its premium dairy products. Our business divisions include propagation, wholesale sales, retail sales, landscape design, installation and maintenance, retail garden center, and ecommerce.
