Ben Haselden

Ben Haselden is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the marine electrification sector. Currently serving as the National Marine Manager at McKay since October 2008, Ben has been instrumental in expanding services nationally and internationally, particularly following the success of the Ika Rere ferry project. Previous roles at McKay include Marine Commercial Manager and Marine Electrical and Electronics Manager for Northland, where responsibilities encompassed business development and team support. Ben's early career includes significant positions such as Marine Electronics and Automation Engineer and Electrical Project Manager for a project in the UAE. In addition, Ben founded 3xploreNZ in 2016 and has a background as a leading Marine Electronics field engineer and an electronics apprentice with Steelcom Electronics Ltd. Educationally, Ben holds a National Diploma in Electronic Engineering from Victoria University of Wellington, complemented by a foundational education at Whangarei Boys High School.
