Heidi Twitchell

Heidi is a veteran teacher, having taught elementary school for ten years in Utah and California. She earned her B.S. in Elementary Education at Brigham Young University, completed master’s coursework at California State University San Marcos, and holds specializations in Gifted Education and Multicultural Education. As a former child actress with an enormous love for teaching, she is passionate about the visual and performing arts and their role in education and has been a driving force in arts education advocacy. Heidi has a tremendous passion for serving the most vulnerable, including the unhoused neighbors and the underprivileged, unaccompanied, and at-risk youth. With her adorable husband and four, fabulous kids, she has spent time building homes for parents and children in remote villages south of the border and has found these experiences to bring just as much joy and comfort to her as it has to the families served.
