McKinney ISD
Angela Garwood has extensive experience in education, currently serving as the English Department Chair and Instructional Coach at McKinney North High School since May 2022. Previously, Angela held various roles at McKinney North High School from August 2018 to May 2022, including Humanities 2 Teacher and English II Advanced Teacher. Angela began their career in Allen ISD from September 1997 to July 2018, where roles included English II Pre-AP Teacher/Team Lead and Testing Coordinator. Initial career experience also includes a role as District Sales Manager at Montgomery Wards from 1991 to 1994. Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas, completed between 1998 and 2000, and has earlier educational experience from Texas A&M University from 1982 to 1986.
