James Patchett

James Patchett is an experienced professional in the real estate sector, currently serving as a Partner in the Real Estate practice at McKinsey & Company since February 2023. Prior to this role, James was the CEO of A&E Real Estate from April 2021 to December 2022, where oversight included operations, investments, financing, and capital programs. James also held the position of President and CEO at the New York City Economic Development Corporation from February 2017 to March 2021, and served as Chief of Staff at the NYC Office of the Mayor from February 2014 to January 2017. Earlier in their career, James was Vice President of the Urban Investment Group at Goldman Sachs from July 2007 to February 2014. Academic credentials include an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business (2005-2007) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Amherst College (1998-2002).
