Mateo Solis

Mateo Solis is a prominent figure in American karate, serving as the Founder of Tatami USA since January 2022, which has established itself as the leading source of karate media in the United States. As a Junior National Team Member with USA Karate since July 2017, Mateo has achieved remarkable success, including being a two-time Pan American Champion and ranking #3 in the official WKF world rankings in June 2022. Mateo has also served as a sponsored athlete for adidas, representing both AFS Gear and AKA-Shop. With experience as a Karate Instructor at Fonseca Martial Arts, Mateo has mentored numerous elite junior athletes and contributed to community outreach. Additionally, Mateo has held roles in legal support as a Law Clerk at O. Long Law, LLC and as a Sales Intern at Alloi. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree at Stanford University, Mateo continues to balance academic and athletic commitments.
