Rebecca Merblum

Rebecca Merblum is a seasoned cellist and artistic director, currently serving as the Artistic Director at Sound Dialogue and Co Artistic Director at the Kenya International Cello Festival since March 2022. Merblum is also a Fellowship Recipient at the McKnight Foundation and engages as Guest Faculty with the Art of Music Foundation, focusing on teaching and mentoring students in the Ghetto Classics program. In addition to these roles, Merblum has performed as a substitute cellist for prestigious orchestras including The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Contributions to the arts community extend to teaching at the MacPhail Center for Music and involvement with the Target Studio Residency at the Weisman Art Museum. Academic credentials include education from the New England Conservatory of Music.
