Saymoukda Duangphouxay Vongsay

Fellow, Community-engaged Practice Art at McKnight Foundation

Saymoukda Duangphouxay Vongsay is an accomplished playwright and community-engaged artist with a Master's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from the University of Minnesota. Currently serving as the Playwright in Residence at Theater Mu, Vongsay is also involved as a Fellow in Leadership at the Bush Foundation and holds multiple fellowships with the McKnight Foundation and Jerome Foundation, focusing on community-engaged practice in the arts and theater. In addition, Vongsay is a co-founder and Managing Director of the Funny Asian Women Kollective, which has been active since June 2014.
