Tenzin Dolkar is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in climate action, social advocacy, and policy development. Currently serving as a Program Officer at the McKnight Foundation, Tenzin leads strategic grantmaking initiatives focused on agriculture, democracy, and transportation to support bold climate actions in the Midwest. Previous roles include directing a redistricting campaign at NorthStar Prosperity, advising the City of Minneapolis on climate initiatives while at the Natural Resources Defense Council, and overseeing freight rail safety as Rail Director for the State of Minnesota under Governor Mark Dayton. Tenzin's early career involved legislative advocacy for Asian-Pacific Minnesotan communities and providing support to survivors of domestic violence at Asian Women United of Minnesota. Tenzin holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations/Global Studies and Social Work from the University of St. Thomas.
