Terra Penny

Terra Penny, CPA, currently serves as Controller at the McKnight Foundation since July 2022. Prior to this role, Terra held the position of Director of Finance & Accounting and Controller at the Science Museum of Minnesota from September 2017 to July 2022. Terra's experience also includes serving as Assistant Controller at the University of St. Thomas from April 2009 to September 2017, and Audit Manager for Nonprofit and Government at LarsonAllen from July 2002 to March 2009. Terra started the career as a Staff Accountant at Ritchie, Luukkonen, Campbell & Co. Ltd. from January 1998 to July 2002. Terra earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Gustavus Adolphus College between 1994 and 1998.
