McLanahan represents the sixth generation of family ownership and management. His responsibilities include overseeing the Executive Management Team, setting the strategic direction of the Corporation, overall business development and communication to employees.
Sean began his career with McLanahan Corporation in 1994 after earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management and a Minor in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association as well as the National Mining Association and King Coal Club. In 2018, Sean was elected to the National Mining Association Board of Directors.
