John Gunter

John Gunter is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate compliance, risk management, and technology law. Currently serving as Vice President of Legal - Compliance, Risk, and IT&D at McLane Company, Inc., since November 2017, John leads a team of experts in various legal disciplines. Prior roles at McLane include Associate General Counsel, where John developed the corporate compliance program based on federal guidelines, and Director of Legal, responsible for overseeing complex vendor and customer technology contracts. John's legal career began with positions at McGuireWoods LLP and Haynes and Boone, LLP, culminating as a Judicial Law Clerk for Justice Jeffrey S. Boyd at the Supreme Court of Texas. John holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Pepperdine University.
