Phyllis McLellan MSN RN CPPS CPHQ has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Phyllis has held various positions throughout their career, including roles in patient safety, clinical risk management, and performance improvement.

Starting in 1992, Phyllis worked as a Staff Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Educator in Surgical Services at McLaren Greater Lansing. Phyllis also chaired the MHC Just Culture task force and facilitated a good catch program to prevent patient harm.

Currently, Phyllis holds the position of Director of Corporate Patient Safety & Clinical Risk at McLaren Health Care. Phyllis provides administrative leadership and supervision for the integration of patient safety and clinical risk programs across the corporation. Their responsibilities include developing and implementing patient safety improvement programs to create a highly reliable, zero preventable harm patient care environment.
