Shawn MacPhee

Shawn MacPhee has extensive experience in clinical documentation improvement (CDI) roles. Shawn worked at McLaren Health Care as the Corporate Director of CDI from August 2021 to present, and previously served as the Regional Director of CDI from April 2019 to August 2021. Prior to McLaren, Shawn worked at Atos as the Senior Director of CDI Services from January 2018 to March 2019. Shawn also worked at Anthelio Healthcare Solutions in various CDI roles, including Regional CDI Director from August 2016 to January 2018, CDI Manager from September 2015 to July 2016, CDI Educator from June 2014 to September 2015, and Clinical Documentation Specialist from August 2011 to June 2014.

Shawn MacPhee has a Bachelor of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Michigan State University, which they earned from 1997 to 2000. Shawn also completed pre-nursing studies at Delta College from 1994 to 1996. In 2009, Shawn obtained a Master of Science degree in Leadership and Management from Walden University. Additionally, they have certifications as a Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner from AHIMA, obtained in December 2016, and as a Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist from the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist, obtained in 2013.
