Moses Leavens

Assistant Professor at McLaughlin Research Institute

Moses Leavens is currently an Assistant Professor at McLaughlin Research Institute for Biomedical Sciences where Moses focuses on understanding the role of specific proteins in neurodegenerative diseases. Prior to this, Moses was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Caughey Lab at National Institutes of Health, working on seed amplification assays using the real-time quaking-induced conversion platform. Moses also served as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Bowler Lab at University of Montana, where Moses probed denatured state conformational biases in unfolded three-helix bundles. Moses holds a MS and PhD in Biochemistry & Biophysics from University of Montana, in addition to a Bachelor's degree from University of Providence.
