Sara Rafiei is a dedicated professional with significant experience in leadership and promotion within student organizations. Currently serving as President and Promotions Executive of the McMaster Iranian Student Association (MISA) since September 2021, Sara has co-founded and co-presided over the McMaster Animal Rights Club. Additionally, Sara is a nominee for the MSU Teaching Awards and has worked as a Promotions Executive at FearlessMinds. With a strong academic background, Sara has held roles as a Senior Teaching Assistant and Teaching Assistant in the Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University, and as a Level III Research Assistant at McMaster University from April 2022 to January 2023. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science in Honours Life Sciences from McMaster University, completed in 2023.

The McMaster Students Union (MSU) represents approximately 27,000 full-time undergraduate students at McMaster University. In addition to funding and administering over 30 student services, the MSU advocates on behalf of students before the University and at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels of government.
