Albina Veltman serves as the Associate Chair for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigenous Reconciliation in the Department of Psychiatry at McMaster University, holding the position of Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Diversity & Engagement Chair for the undergraduate MD program. Veltman also practices as a psychiatrist at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, contributing to the Hamilton Assertive Community Treatment Team, Dual Diagnosis Team, LGBTQ Mental Health Clinic, and Youth Wellness Centre. Additional roles include being a part-time CCB Psychiatrist Member for the Consent & Capacity Board and participating as a committee member for the Medical Council of Canada. Veltman's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Western University, postgraduate training in Psychiatry at McMaster University, and a Master of Arts in Social Justice Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto.
