Hamidreza Mahyar

Hamidreza Mahyar is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University's Faculty of Engineering since January 2021, specializing in Machine Learning and Network Science, particularly Graph Neural Networks with applications in Recommendation Systems, Machine Vision, and Graph NLP. Mahyar has extensive experience in artificial intelligence, having served as CTO at Mind Lab 56 (2022-2024), Director of AI Systems at Brainmaven Corp. (2020-2022), and Co-Founder & CEO of Assister.Ai (2018-2021). Previous roles include Senior Machine Learning Scientist at ProteinQure, Machine Learning Scientist at Infineon Technologies, and founder of AI initiatives at Mahan Air. Additionally, Mahyar has co-founded Abanegan ICT Co., providing various technology solutions, and worked as an AI consultant at Miras Technologies. Education includes a current postdoctoral research position at Boston University, a postdoctoral fellowship at Technische Universität Wien, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
