John Pecman

John Pecman is an accomplished professional in the field of competition policy and economics, currently serving as a Fellow at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce since May 2022. In addition, John holds the position of Senior Business Advisor at Fasken and is a TMX Industry Professor at McMaster University's DeGroote School of Business, both roles maintained since September 2018. John also contributes as a Senior Fellow at the C.D. Howe Institute and is a member of the Business at OECD Competition Committee and the International Competition Network. Previously, John served as Commissioner of Competition at the Competition Bureau Canada for over three decades, alongside various leadership roles including Interim Commissioner and Executive positions. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Economics from McMaster University, a Certificate in Public Management and Governance from the University of Ottawa, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brock University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Western University.
