Maureen MacDonald is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in the field of Kinesiology and Exercise Science. Currently serving as the Visiting Academic Global Chair at Manchester Metropolitan University Institute of Sport since September 2024, MacDonald has been the Dean of Science and a professor at McMaster University since July 2000. Additional roles include Visiting Professor at Loughborough University and previous appointments as a professor and assistant professor at various institutions. MacDonald holds a PhD from the University of Waterloo and has completed several postdoctoral fellowships in Kinesiology. Educational background also includes a Master's degree and a BSc in Chemistry from Acadia University and the University of Dundee, respectively.
