Shari McHugh

Shari McHugh, CPA, CA has a diverse work experience. Shari started their career as a Chartered Accountant at SB Partners LLP, where they performed audit engagements and provided support and training to less experienced staff. Shari then transitioned to McMaster University, where they held various roles including Internal Audit Manager, Financial Affairs Specialist, Senior Accountant, Senior Manager of Facilities Finance, Director of Finance for Facility Services, and Director of Strategic Operations. In these positions, they managed budgets, performed financial reporting, and supported and monitored various financial and operational aspects of the university. Additionally, Shari served as a member of the Board of Directors at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital and Edgewater Gardens, where they contributed to the governance and management of the institution as the Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee.

Shari McHugh, CPA, CA completed their Honours B.Comm. in Accounting at McMaster University from 1998 to 2002. Shari also obtained their CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification from ICAO and their CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) certification from IIA.
