Steven Hoffman

Steven Hoffman currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at the Wellcome Trust, responsible for guiding the organization's future and overseeing its significant investment in scientific health solutions. Hoffman has extensive experience in strategic leadership roles, including founding the Global Strategy Lab, which advises on public health policies, and holding various academic positions at institutions such as York University and McMaster University. Previously, Hoffman held leadership roles within the Canadian public health sector, notably as Vice-President for Data, Surveillance & Foresight at the Public Health Agency of Canada and as Scientific Director at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. An accomplished academic, Hoffman received a PhD in Health Policy from Harvard University and has contributed to global health diplomacy through teaching and research at prominent universities.
