Teija Smith

Teija Smith is a professional with extensive experience in art and museum-related roles. Currently serving as the Publications Coordinator at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection since August 2019, Teija also contributed to the Cape Dorset Digitization Project as a Database and Photographic Operator. Previous positions include Gallery Assistant at ZimArt Rice Lake Gallery, Collections Management Intern at the Art Museum at the University of Toronto, and Curatorial Assistant at the Art Gallery of Peterborough through a Young Canada Works Contract. Teija’s earlier experience includes administrative and retail roles at RE/MAX Country Classics, The Old Tin Shed, and Westwind Inn on the Lake. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduate Certificate in Museum Management and Curatorship from Fleming College and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Creative Writing from Western University.
