Rhys Munro is an experienced conservation technician at the McNay Art Museum since May 2018, focusing on the preventative conservation of the museum's permanent collection and outdoor sculptures. Rhys is also a public artist and studio artist, operating under the name Rhys Munro Art since 2015. Additionally, Rhys served as an art handler for the City of San Antonio from June 2017 to January 2020, and participated as a muralist for San Anto Cultural Arts from 2016 to 2018, contributing to mural restoration and youth education. Rhys's earlier roles include serving as an undergraduate teaching assistant in Art History at The University of Texas at San Antonio from January 2016 to May 2017 and working as an assistant manager at the UTSA Campus Technology Store from January 2012 to January 2015. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Texas at San Antonio and an Associate of Arts from San Antonio College.
