Sahil Hossain

Sahil Hossain is a Simulation Engineer at McPhy since September 2022, specializing in building stack and cell level 1D & 3D physical models of electrolyzers, conducting data-driven modeling, and managing research partnerships with academic institutions, alongside generating intellectual property. Prior to McPhy, Sahil worked as a Research Associate at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf from January 2018 to August 2022, where key contributions were made to the investigation of green hydrogen production, earning the "Innovationspreis der Deutschen Gaswirtschaft" in 2020. Earlier experience includes an engineering role at Eaton, focusing on flow and thermal analysis of industrial products, and a student assistant position at the Microfluidics Lab of IIT Kharagpur, investigating nanoscale fluid flow. Sahil holds a Dr.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden and a Dual Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
