Vice President of Development and Marketing at McWane Science Center

Miranda Springer, MS, CFRE has worked in the nonprofit sector for over a decade. Miranda began their career in 2007 as the Associate Vice President for Development at McWane Science Center. In 2011, they launched their own consulting business, Springer Consulting, where they provide fund development services to human service, education, health, environmental, and cultural/art institutions. Her services include grant writing, prospect research, case statement development, direct mail solicitation, annual planning, and special event planning. In 2016, they returned to McWane Science Center as the Vice President of Development and Marketing. Most recently, they have taken on the role of Adjunct Professor at Samford University in 2019.

Miranda Springer, MS, CFRE has an education history that includes a Master's degree in Child Development from The University of Alabama, obtained between 1999 and 2000, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Human Development and Family Studies, General from Mississippi University for Women, obtained between 1993 and 1997. In March of 2012, they obtained their Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) certification.
