Danielle Amiel has extensive work experience in the field of governance, risk management, and actuarial analysis. Danielle is currently working as the Director of Governance & Risk Management for the Medicus Pension Plan at MD Financial Management | Gestion financière MD. Prior to this, they held the same position at the Medicus Pension Plan itself. Before joining MD Financial Management | Gestion financière MD, they worked at Scotiabank, where they held various roles including Director of Governance & Risk Management for the Medicus Pension Plan and Senior Manager of Global DB Plans. Danielle also gained experience at KPMG as a Manager in the Life & Pensions Actuarial Practice, and at Towers Watson as a Senior Actuarial Analyst in Retirement. Danielle started their career as an Actuarial Intern in Retirement at Towers Watson and also worked as a Residence Advisor/Don at the University of Western Ontario.

Danielle Amiel obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Honors Specialization in Actuarial Science, with a Major in History, from Western University in 2010. Prior to that, they completed a Diplôme d'études collégiales in Liberal Arts and Sciences at Dawson College from 2003 to 2005. Danielle later obtained the Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) certification in 2014, followed by the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) certification in the same year.
