Harrison Chen

Harrison Chen is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and medical device sectors. Currently employed at MDA since October 2016, Harrison has performed dynamic simulations of space robotic mechanisms and analyzed drivetrain components to enhance end-effector designs. Prior roles at MDA include Intermediate Member of Technical Staff, where responsibilities involved designing assembly workflows and conducting testing on flight-level hardware, and Junior Member of Technical Staff, supporting the development of a manipulator system for assisted brain surgery. Harrison's earlier experience includes an internship at Conavi Medical, contributing to the development of a cardiac imaging catheter while performing acoustic characterization and collaborating on optimization projects. Additionally, an internship at VitalAire Canada focused on streamlining supply chain operations and processing medical devices. Harrison holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
