Valeriya Svichkar

Valeriya Svichkar is a Junior Technical Professional at MDA Space, with experience as a Python Software Test Engineer and C++ Developer since April 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Test Engineer (Co-op) at NETGEAR from May to December 2021, and serving as the Director of Resource Centre for the SFU Engineering Science Student Society from June 2020 to May 2021. Valeriya has also worked as a Gymnastics Coach at Ultra Rhythmics between September 2015 and December 2019, and as a Clinical Research Engineer (Co-op) at the Biomedical Optics Research Group SFU, where expertise in MATLAB for image processing was developed. Earlier work experience includes a position as a Line Cook at White Spot from August 2015 to July 2016. Valeriya holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Engineering from the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Simon Fraser University, completing the degree in August 2022.
