Mark Motamen

Mark Motamen has worked in various roles throughout their career. Mark is currently serving as the Vice President of Operations and Culture at MDC. Prior to this position, they were the Interim CFO at MDC from April 2019 to December 2022.

Mark started their career at Environmental Resource Center. Mark was the Manager of Technical Services from July 1996 to September 1998 and the Accounting Manager from October 1992 to September 1998. In these roles, they had responsibilities such as budgeting, managing accounting activities, coordinating with external CPA firms, and automating processes.

Overall, Mark has a diverse background in finance and operations, with experience in leadership roles and a focus on financial planning, reporting, and management.

Mark Motamen obtained their Masters degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University from 1996 to 1998. Mark also holds certifications in Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Duke University, obtained in October 2019, and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants, obtained in 1994.
