Eanna Butler

DevOps Architect at MDS Global

Eanna Butler has a wealth of experience in the software engineering and DevOps fields. Eanna started their career as a Software Developer at Bluewatch, where they worked on the implementation of a Covariance and Correlation module for Financial instruments. Eanna also created a Real-time Financial Instrument feed reader, FAME DB loader, and GUI.

After that, Eanna worked as a Software Engineer at Attachmate, where they were involved in software development. Eanna then moved on to Advance Learning, where they continued to work as a Software Engineer.

In 2001, Eanna joined Taringold Ltd. as a Software Engineer, and they worked there until 2003.

From 2003 to 2011, Eanna worked at MDS Global as a Software Deployment Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for the conception, design, specification, and implementation of configuration management tools. Eanna also performed and supported customer-facing deployments of enterprise applications on various operating systems.

At MDS Global, Eanna then transitioned to the role of Senior Build Engineer. In this position, they actively maintained and optimized the build of the MDS product suite. Eanna also had DevOps responsibilities and was involved in process optimization, automation, and security.

Following that, Eanna took on the role of Principal Build Engineer at MDS Global. Eanna led the Company-wide Deployment team and played a key role in implementing new delivery technologies to support the new Product Stack.

Most recently, Eanna has been working as a DevOps Architect at MDS Global, specifically for the New Business section. Eanna leads a team in implementing full end-to-end SDLC using CI/CD Toolsets and supporting selected hosting topologies.

Throughout their career, Eanna has demonstrated a strong technical expertise and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

Eanna Butler attended Kerry Pike NS from 1979 to 1987 for primary education. Then, from 1987 to 1993, they attended Presentation Brothers College in Cork for high school. Following that, Eanna pursued higher education at University College Cork from 1993 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.
