Brian Cornish

Brian Cornish is an experienced metallurgist and engineering professional with a robust background in mining and mineral processing. Currently serving as the Director of Application Engineering for the Grinding Media Division at ME Elecmetal since March 2017, Brian leads a global team of Application Engineers, focusing on optimizing mill productivity and cost-effectiveness for major mining customers. Previous roles include Senior Project Metallurgist at Newcrest Mining, Senior Plant Metallurgist positions at MMG Limited and Newcrest Mining, and Process Operations Superintendent at Barrick Gold Corporation. Brian's extensive experience spans over three decades, during which time various leadership and project management roles were undertaken, including significant contributions to continuous improvement initiatives and safety standards across various organizations. Brian holds a BASc in Mining and Mineral Process Engineering from The University of British Columbia, alongside several certifications in environmental management and workplace safety.
