Jeroen Stas has a diverse work experience in scientific affairs and medical roles. Jeroen is currently serving as the Director of Scientific Affairs at MeMed since June 2023. Prior to this, they were the Medical Affairs Manager, Europe at MeMed, where they managed the European medical affairs team and supported the commercial strategy in direct markets through clinician stakeholder engagement and medical education tools.
Before joining MeMed, Jeroen worked at Meridian Bioscience Inc. as a Scientific Affairs Manager - Europe from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they developed and implemented a regional scientific affairs strategy to support the commercial strategy in direct and indirect markets through educational programs and medical tools.
Jeroen also gained experience at GenePOC, where they served as a Scientific Affairs Manager - Europe and an Application Field Support Specialist. Jeroen was responsible for managing the company's Key Opinion Leader program, building global publication strategies, and providing application training and support to distributor partners in the EMEA region.
In addition to their industry experience, Jeroen has academic research experience as a FWO Predoctoral Researcher at the University of Antwerp and a FWO Predoctoral Researcher visiting the University of Copenhagen. Jeroen has contributed to unraveling the impact of heterotetramerization on the pharmacological profile of voltage-gated K+ channels.

Overall, their work experience spans a range of scientific and medical roles, showcasing their expertise in scientific affairs, medical education, and stakeholder engagement.
Jeroen Stas obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Antwerp in 2010. Jeroen then pursued a Master of Science degree in Neurosciences from the same university, completing it in 2012. In the same year, they also completed a course in Laboratory Animal Sciences, specifically FELASA Cat C, from the University of Antwerp.
