Lukas Hofmann

Lukas Hofmann is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product development, manufacturing processes, and academic research. As the New Product Introduction (NPI) Lead at MeMed since May 2021, Lukas has been instrumental in guiding the transition from prototype to mass production, optimizing manufacturing processes, and collaborating with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). Prior to this role, Lukas held a postdoctoral researcher position at Bar-Ilan University, where responsibilities included mentoring students and contributing to scientific publications. Experience also includes positions at CSL Behring as a Drug Substance Manufacturing Process Automation Specialist, where coordination of cross-functional projects was key, and at the Cleveland Center for Membrane & Structural Biology, managing X-ray facilities. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Bern, and various teaching credentials.
