Michael Schrader

Michael Schrader is a seasoned technical and architectural illustrator with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Technical Illustrator at Mead & Hunt since September 2022, Michael specializes in creating technical engineering illustrations to simplify complex designs for clients and marketing. Previously, Michael held the position of Illustrator at Affiliated Engineers Inc. from May 2008 to October 2022, where the focus was on producing illustrations that make intricate engineering solutions accessible without sacrificing detail. Michael's earlier career includes work as a Freelance Architectural Illustrator and at KRJDA, where architectural illustrations were developed through innovative techniques like photo montaging and modeling. A foundational period in medical illustration occurred from 1993 to 1995, contributing skills in hand-drawn illustrations for medical publications and courtroom presentations. Michael holds a B.S. in Medical Illustration from The Ohio State University, earned in 1993.
