Stephen K. Whalen is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, primarily within the energy sector. Currently serving as the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at MEAG Power since November 2021, Stephen previously held roles such as Director of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis at Southern Company Gas and Managing Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at AGL Resources. With a notable career progression at AGL Resources over 18 years, Stephen directed financial teams for natural gas utilities and contributed to substantial customer growth. Earlier in career, Stephen worked in various consulting roles with organizations such as Armstrong State University, David M. Griffith & Associates, and the Appalachian Council of Govts, providing valuable budgetary and financial consulting services. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Administration from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Armstrong State University.
