Elan Amir has a long and varied career in technology. Elan started their professional career in 1998 as co-Founder of FastForward Networks, a broadcast streaming media distribution company which was acquired by Inktomi in 2000. In 1999, they took on the role of CTO and VP Engineering at Proxinet, a provider of mobile web-browsing technology, leading the turnaround which resulted in its acquisition by Pumatech. At Pumatech, they served as VP Technology, integrating ProxiNet technology into Pumatech technology suite. In 2000, Elan became CTO of OmniSky, a mobile data service and application provider, where they were responsible for technology architecture and strategy, M&A, internal sales and marketing technology training, and was a member of the executive management team during its October 2000 IPO. In 2002, they were Manager of the OmniSky transition team at EarthLink. From 2013 to 2016, Elan served as Chief Product Officer at Prosper Marketplace, a pioneering marketplace lending platform, where they were a key member of the Prosper turnaround management team, responsible for all product matters, including R&D, Operations, Product Management, Information Security, UX and Design. From 2016 to 2017, Elan was Chief Product & Technology Officer at SpringboardAuto.com, bringing the financial technology revolution to the trillion dollar automotive finance and transaction market. In 2017, they took on the role of Entrepreneur In Residence at Storm Ventures. Since 2018, Elan has been Chief Executive Officer and COO at MeasureOne, building the leading platform for consumer-permissioned data, and transforming the way consumers share their data with businesses.
Elan Amir obtained their PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1998, after receiving their M.S. in Computer Science from the same university in 1994. Elan obtained their B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993.
