Aivaras Valainis

Aivaras Valainis has over 10 years of experience in the finance and payments industry. Aivaras began their career in 2006 as an Insurance Portfolio Manager at Bon Life LT. In 2007, they moved to Swedbank as a Corporate Loans Portfolio Manager. Aivaras then moved to Nordea Bank Finland in 2008, where they held the roles of Cash Management Product Portfolio Manager and Corporate Loans Portfolio Manager. In 2011, they became a Lecturer at Mykolas Romeris University. Aivaras then joined Western Union in 2013 as Head of Payments Product and Operations. In 2017, they joined both Ferratum Group and Ferratum Bank as Head of Payments. In 2020, they became the Director of Strategic Partnerships and R&D at MeaWallet.

Aivaras Valainis obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biophysics from Vilnius University in 2008. Aivaras then went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the same university in 2009. Finally, they obtained a Master's degree in Banking from Vilnius University in 2011. In 2019, they also obtained the Agile Foundations certification from LinkedIn.
