Steven Garger is an experienced marine engineer with a background in both civilian and military maritime operations. Currently serving as a 3rd Assistant Engineer for MEBA Dist 1-PCD (AFL-CIO) since February 2015, Garger has a solid foundation from previous roles, including 3rd Assistant Engineer at Military Sealift Command from March 2018 to August 2020 and Assistant Engineer at Crowley Maritime from July 2014 to February 2015. Garger also holds experience as a Strategic Sealift Officer with the U.S. Navy, having been activated eight times in various support roles, accumulating 346 days of service. Garger earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, completing studies from 2010 to 2014, following an education at Xavier High School from 2006 to 2010.
