Alice Chambers

Alice Chambers, CPRP, CIM, CIT, LEED AP, currently serves as Environmental Education Manager for Mecklenburg County, managing a team of 56 staff and overseeing over 2,000 programs annually at five nature centers. Previous experience includes roles such as Director of the Schrader Environmental Education Center at Oglebay Institute and Adjunct Faculty at West Liberty University, where Alice instructed courses related to environmental education. Additional positions include Green School Instructor at NC State University, Environmental Education Coordinator at Sandhills Area Land Trust, and Superintendent of Natural Resources for Bolingbrook Park District, where crucial initiatives in educational programming and natural resource management were developed. Alice holds a Bachelor’s degree in Botany and Environmental Biology from Eastern Illinois University.
