C. Lisette Nimmons

C. Lisette Nimmons, JD, currently serves as the Intergovernmental Affairs Manager for Mecklenburg County, a position held since July 2024. Previously, Nimmons worked as the Government Affairs Manager for the Nurse-Family Partnership from March 2022 to July 2024, where notable achievements included doubling state appropriations in Florida and organizing state advocacy days. Nimmons also held the role of Director of Government Affairs at the Trauma Center Association of America from May 2016 to March 2022, successfully increasing attendance at advocacy events and developing a comprehensive map of trauma and disaster response centers. Earlier in the career, Nimmons was a Communications Consultant at CLN Consulting and served as the Government Affairs Director at Moore and Van Allen, PLLC, where significant legislative contributions for Fortune 500 clients were made. Nimmons holds a Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law and a BA in Political Science from Winston-Salem State University.
