Karen Pelletier

Karen Pelletier, MSW, serves as the Director of Housing Innovation and Stabilization Services with Mecklenburg County since June 2010, overseeing daily operations of health and human services with a budget exceeding $19 million while managing multiple community projects aimed at improving housing stability. Karen's previous roles include Adjunct Faculty at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where instruction focused on social work topics, and Clinical Lead/Therapist at Melange Health Solutions. Earlier experience includes contract work with Mecklenburg County Community Support Services, where leadership in grant submissions, program quality improvement, and policy development contributed to enhanced domestic violence and veterans services. Karen holds a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Social Work from Eastern Michigan University.
