Raynard Washington

Raynard Washington currently serves as the Health Director for Mecklenburg County since March 2020, previously holding the position of Deputy Health Director. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Epidemiologist and Deputy Health Commissioner for the City of Philadelphia's Department of Public Health from March 2017 to March 2020. Additionally, from 2012 to 2016, Raynard Washington worked as an Epidemiologist and Health Research Scientist at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and from 2009 to 2012, served as a Project Evaluator at Healthy Start, Inc. in Pittsburgh. Educational credentials include a Doctorate in Epidemiology, a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, all obtained from the University of Pittsburgh between 2003 and 2012.
