Francoise Merrouche has over 40 years of experience in social services and education, currently serving as Coordinatrice at MECS since March 2000. Prior to this role, Francoise worked as Éducatrice at the Association de parents d'enfants inadaptés from November 1983 to March 2000, providing support to adults with disabilities in daily living situations. Francoise's career also includes serving as Monitrice éducatrice at Maison d'enfant Alphonse Oberle, where responsibilities involved oversight of a residential program for boys aged 12 to 14 facing social and familial difficulties. Francoise holds two degrees from Centre de formation arobase: Responsable des entreprises de l'économie sociale et solidaire and Conseiller d'insertion et de développement local, both in the social field.

The foundations of MECS were constructed and began with Monsanto Enviro-Chem Systems Inc. This original company was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Monsanto Company in 1969 through a consolidation of several existing process technology, product and services businesses. Some of these businesses were established as early as 1917. On August 5, 2005 the management team of Monsanto Enviro-Chem Systems, Inc. completed the purchase of the subsidiary from Monsanto. As a result, the new MECS Inc. is built on a heritage of nearly 100 years in assisting customers to achieve added value in their process operations.
