Maria Anitan, MD has extensive work experience in the field of pharmacovigilance and drug safety. Maria most recently served as the Global Head of Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety at Med Communications, Inc. starting in December 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Pharmacovigilance Physician at the same company starting in August 2019.

Maria began their career at Eli Lilly and Company as a Professional Product Specialist from July 2004 to August 2009.
Maria Anitan, MD completed their education at the "Iuliu Hatieganu" Medicine and Pharmacy University, Cluj-Napoca from 1992 to 1998. Maria obtained a Medical Doctor degree with a specialization in General Medicine.
