Maria Anitan M.D.

Maria Anitan, MD has extensive work experience in the field of pharmacovigilance and drug safety. Maria most recently served as the Global Head of Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety at Med Communications, Inc. starting in December 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Pharmacovigilance Physician at the same company starting in August 2019.

Before joining Med Communications, Inc., Maria worked as a Senior Consultant - Pharmacovigilance at PV Consultancy Services, starting in December 2017. Maria also served as the Senior Medical Director Central Eastern Europe-PC and PV Physician at Ipsen from April 2016 to July 2017.

Maria also has experience working with UCB, where they held the positions of CNS Medical Manager from July 2014 to March 2016, and CNS Medical Advisor/ PV Physician from July 2012 to July 2014. Prior to UCB, they worked at Sanofi Genzyme as the Medical Affairs Manager Oncology and Rare Diseases EEA and LPPV from February 2011 to July 2012, and as a Professional Product Specialist in the Transplant and Hematology division from August 2009 to February 2011. Maria began their career at Eli Lilly and Company as a Professional Product Specialist from July 2004 to August 2009.

Maria Anitan, MD completed their education at the "Iuliu Hatieganu" Medicine and Pharmacy University, Cluj-Napoca from 1992 to 1998. Maria obtained a Medical Doctor degree with a specialization in General Medicine.
