Dave Mackersie is a seasoned software architect and engineer with extensive experience in developing high-level control software for various industries, including consumer appliances, automation systems, and medical information systems. Currently serving as a Software Architect at MedAcuity since March 2023, Dave previously held roles such as Sr. Principal Software Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, focusing on smart coffee brewers, and Principal Software Engineer at Altran, where projects included developing both a low-cost coffee brewer and a 3D user interface for industrial machinery. With a solid foundation from Foliage, Brooks Automation, PRI Automation, and MRSI Systems, Dave has contributed to advancements in unmanned aerial vehicles, warehouse automation, and high precision manufacturing equipment. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
