Anne Reitsema

CEO at Medair

Anne Reitsema has extensive work experience at Medair, a humanitarian aid organization. Anne started in 2004 as a Relief Work, Logistics Coordinator, and Project Manager. In 2005, they took on multiple roles including Reception Centre Manager, Acting Projects Coordinator, and Operations Manager. From 2006 to 2008, Anne served as the Deputy Country Director and later as a Project Coordinator. In 2009, they became a Country Director, and in 2011, they were promoted to Head of Country Programmes. Anne held the role of Country Director again from 2014 to 2018. Currently, Anne is working at Medair as the Director of International Program and will be taking over as the Chief Executive Officer in 2023.

Anne Reitsema received their Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Saint Louis, United States in 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit in 1999. In addition, they obtained a certification in Hostage Incident Management Training from Saving Lives Together in 2010.
